Two times a year, for the seasonal spring/summer and autumn/winter-collections, I make short inspiration-movies for the Swedish Fashion Council and their trend seminars. This is a job I enjoy alot, I love putting together films the same way I enjoy composing blog posts. Above are excerpts from some of the movies. You can watch the whole films in my Film-section. Tell me what you think if you have a peak.
I have a serious fashion girl-crush right now on Nadia Aboulhosn. She is so incredibly charismatic and her blog is personal in the most genuine way. Her photos are amazing as hell, the lightning and poses are like snaps out of a Sofia Coppola movie, so intriguing and inspiring. Not to mention the fashion and styling.. A-game simply put.
“I make it a point to not glamorise my life on social media,” she says herself. “I take pictures with my glasses, with no makeup. I’ll screenshot my bank account.”
“Some people aren’t happy with their own life so they try to make it look good to other people. I take pictures of me going to McDonalds. I make it a point to show I’m still eating oodles of noodles. I think that’s why people can relate to me.”
For someone who is ridiculously interested in fashion, I’m the worst shopper. I always end up with buying nothing. I know some people would disagree (my father and grandmother among others) but I find myself always being so picky I can’t find anything. That’s why when I really obsess over an item, I’m the happiest you ever saw when I finally get it.
This pink, cotton candy-ish alpaca-wool coat from H&Ms trend collection that I got today is my ultimate love-purchase this winter. It’s sooo dreamy. I just want to spray it with sugary sweet-perfume and go lie down and take a nap in it. It goes so well with black tight Mouret-dresses and bare legs (well, in spring then..). It’s lovely, until it rains. But that wouldn’t happen, right?
Borrowed the photo of the coat here.
Faux fur I mean. Like on these by & other stories.
Who dosen’t love a giant disco ball next to lot’s of foolscap?
The photos at & other stories always feel so alluring and contemporary, I just can’t resist them. They really put their clothes and accessories in different stories, one more enthralling then the other. I don’t know, I just find them super inspiring. Makes me want faux fur sandals, as if I needed that…
With that said – happy friday!
I couldn’t kill my darlings putting this together, but that’s just my regular response to visiting the Ann Street Studio. They just manage to capture every show at New York Fashion Week in the most enchanting way and I’m not sure if I’m watching the stills from a Sofia Coppola-movie or Delpozos Spring/Summer 2014-collection. Nothing wrong with that obviously, except for the slight overheating I experience inspiration-wisely. Oh, the luxe curse of an excellent blog like that.
Sparkling, delicately structured corkscrew beads and tinsel-like gowns in deep midnight hues, when Style Bubble captures Christopher Kanes aw-13 collection, both in photos and words, I think the combination is wild. I just can’t help but blog-collect the photos directly and put them onto my own journal as if they were those stickers we 90s-kids collected carefully into our serious booklets and then traded with each other as if there was no tomorrow. Christopher Kanes collection could also be read as a little geared up for doomsday, with the combat camo-prints and glitter-like-there’s-no-tomorrow gowns. Anyways, who wouldn’t fight a couple of fashion battles in one of his feather pieces?

Ultimate silk evening dress by Gucci.
My seasons are so off, in spring and summer I’m watching winter things and vice versa. This time the blame goes to Elle UKs august edition though, for having such an inspiring editorial by Kai Z Feng. Summer-related posts coming up before you know it!
Vinyl-round hat by Chanel s/s-13.
Old creaky floors are just the best. I would hang the Chanel-hat right on that wall.
Abstract floral print by Paul Smiths fall collection.
Transparency, chocolate brown wooden floors and abstract fall prints are on my mind today. The top two photos are via my tumblr-crush Velveteen.
