yves oppenheim, proenza shouler, lyndie dourthe

badenbaden

sponge cake (is there seriously no better word for it?) lamps: as lovely as it gets (or can get when you call them sponge cakes. let’s just call them sugar cakes instead). that proenza shouler dress and photo: even lovelier. the flowers have appeared on the blog before but they’re too sweet to forget about so they’re making a reapperance and finally some playful magenta watercolor by yves oppenheim.

sockerkaksformer, pappersblommor och vattenfärger.

guldlådan 2009

bild-16

just mailed and asked if i can put up my contribution on the blog before the competition is over and they advised me not to. that of course, made me feel guilty for promising you something so against all my will (i hate photos of myself and putting them up for display) i’m compensating by putting up this photo of me handing over my panel.

sophie jackson, amal kaawash, tamar hopkins

found these at the central saint martins blog and you guessed it; i love the light, the colors, the feeling… the composition in the first photo is just lovely, the shelf as well. and that light blue color in the painting by sophie jackson.. wonderful! the drawings by tamar hopkins in the last one are mesmerizing and i love how they blend in and stand out at the same time. but my favorite one is probably the third photo of the pita and the raisins (?) by amal kaawash. it’s just so full of emotion and makes me incredibly curious to find out the story behind. perhaps there is none? in that case it makes me eager to create one…

bonjour tristesse, francoise sagan

a little book suggestion for you.. i haven’t finished it myself though, so it’s not the best of reviews but.. i think you’ll like it. the two photos above represent the overall feeling of the book i guess. it’s a short novel written by a 19 year old girl named françoise quoirez in 1954. the name sagan is after a character in marcel prousts in search of lost time..
has anybody else read it? what did you think?
