I love Dries van Notens a/w-collection. The color-combinations are wonderful and the skirts lenghts combined with the lenghts of the jackets and the layers are almost magically perfect and modern – it’s the golden section collection-wise. yay :)

Today Fifi Chachnil will, in collaboration with Topshop, release her new collection. Think pin-up aesthetics with vintage black lace and coral rosebuds galore. The pieces will run at about half price of Fifis standard line. Get in line at the Topshop boutiqe in London.

Designers weren’t sewing so much this season as they were sculpting, creating strong, highly structured elements everywhere from Marni to Jil Sander.
Men – för att komma till meningen med det här inlägget: i höst känns Tim Burton väldigt aktuell. Goth, magi och mystiska symboler. En av mina favoritinfluenser som på sätt och vis började redan förra hösten..
I haven’t been writing much about trends lately… But trends are feeling kind of out of style at the moment, if you know what I mean? It’s much more about individuality and personal expression and since trends are kind of like directions that tell us what to wear.. Well you get the picture. I do still think that there will always be trends of some kinds circulating the cultural scene though.. Even if fashion is about new perspectives you can’t ignore the fact that it’s one of the most commercial art-forms and there will always be things that influence the masses in different ways.
But to get to the point of this post: Tim Burton is feeling very up-to-date at the moment with his gothic girls and dark magic. And it’s one of my favorite influences for fall. It kind of started last year though…

A letter from my lovely Jesper in Paris made me inspired. I want to write you a letter as well:
Bonjour mes amis.
The first thing I did this morning when I woke up way to late was to paint. I love to paint – anything from dresses to furniture and ceilings. I could do it for hours and hours. It’s very hypnotic. However this does not mean that the outcome is good. Especially when I move my pencil to the tunes of Blockhead.
Anyway, today, dressed in my favorite outfit: my black negligé, I did a furniture-job. The chairs are overdimensioned and Alice in the Wonderland-like. They kind of stress me out but I’ve always preffered getting excited about something than bored.
I just wished I had a espresso-machine. It would make me a lot more effective.
Love
K
