Stureby Stadsvillor

stureby-stadsvillor-nine-door-properties-liljewall-arkitekter-till-salu-stockholm

Translation

This is a project I’ve been working on as a art director and graphic designer this autumn. It’s a catalogue for a housing project in Stureby in Stockholm, and the apartments (which are currently up on the market) are created by Swedish architecture agency Liljewall and sold by Stockholm based real estater Nine Door Properties.

The text in the infographical presentation above is in Swedish but what it says is basically where on the map the apartments are located, that the kitchen island is built in marble, that they feature a large terrace and that they will be built and ready for moving into into in january 2018.

I found the photographer Nadja Helminen through instagram and I absolutely love her interior styling and photography style. Above are excerpts from the folder itself, along with her photos and a prototype of the finished product. Email me if you’d like a copy of it.

Picks of the week: Marshmallow by Kam-Kam, The Reformation, the Neuzeit font and Emily Coxhead

marshmallow sofa by kamkam 2

Morning / evening / night dreamers. I don’t know your current time zone but whatever the clock is, here are some of my favorite dreams right now.

First off, that Marshmallow sofa by Kam-Kam tho. It looks relatively comfortable but moreover: SO pretty. This is the cloud emoji come to life in a sofa.

the reformation nutella emily coxhead

I love the droopy-heart crepe 2 piece by The Reformation above. And Emily Coxhead is my instagram-crush right now with her positive messages and dreamy snaps (like those shoes are *literally* candeey).

And of course, some random ink lettering with the important things in life like nutella and baths can never fail.

neuzeit grotesk

Finally, this font may be my new favorite since Avenir. It’s called Neuzeit and goes with anything.

White carrara marble bathrooms

Untitled
All marble bathroom wall with a built in shelf, the very symbol of convenience.

UntitledUntitled
Large floor- and wall pattern with specks of grey and a marble bench next to the shower.

Untitled
All marble with black taps.

Square tub and a somewhat art deco-ish sink area with nice lightning and symmetrical features.

This is the result of some modest pinterest tripping. Well, you know what they say – if you can dream it, you can be it. Or take a bath in it.

I’m still not over the carrara marble in carefully arranged instagram snaps and interior details (like lamps etc). It’s just that now, I’ve moved on to bigger pictures: marble covering a whole room or flooring area. I thought this would be a trend that would fade quicker. I guess I proved myself wrong by overdoing it slightly. At least it’s just on pinterest for now.

Untitled

This small apartment of only 20 sqm is the former residence of swedish interior decorater and blogger Josefin Hååg. It is also 20 sqm of bliss interior-wisely, located in central Stockholm in the neighbourhood Atlasområdet, often referred to as Little Paris.

Recently the meticulously styled 20 sqm located was put up on the housing market with Fantastic Frank as the realtor.

Situated on Vulcanusgatan 8 in a building from 1927 with large windows and a color palette of soothing hues in grey and beige, black and white, this little fortress of decorating perfectness’ ending price was 2.7 million swedish crowns.

Investing in your apartments styling seems to be a good idea in other words!

Willy Wonka-ish chimney, reaching up and away like his neverending chocolate factory-elevator.

Flowery branch you nicked from a garden on your way home on a friday in may (yup, a little summer sulk here).

Floor five with a luscious gold decal. My favorite floor, even if I’m not sure where it is or what the other floors are like.

Grey, white, black, marble floors and window ceilings. Only exists on Pinterest, but still!

Gourmet mouse traps and Clarendon

mouse trap

Such an amusing concept: Gourmet mouse traps. It is what it sounds like. I think some human beings, myself included, would easily become victims (especially if it involved strawberry shortcake..).

clarendon calenderAs I’m currently attending courses in typography and graphic design, I’m suffering from slight tunnel vision which may explain some posters and stuff appearing on Lolitas from now. The calender above is set in the 18th-century font Clarendon (used in old western wanted posters among other things). I think it’s pretty in all it’s boldness, don’t you?

This kitchen is just too adorable with it’s dusty pink cupboards and diagonal checkered floor.. From a London studio I found right here.

So, saucy mouse traps, chunky typefaces and playful kitchens made for great meetings and delicious coffee breaks… These are some of the things in my inspiration-folders right now!

Long time no blog!

coffe and tea

bathroom

I’ve been the lousiest blogger. It’s a shame really, of all the things I like to do, blogging is up in the top of the list. That’s why I’ll give it a good ol’ november roll! Starting off with the ultimate “fika” (coffee and cake-time around three o’clock in Sweden) and the loveliest bathroom view. The pink cup is from Swedish Höganäs – I just love the tree plate underneath, makes it feel so cosy and wintery.

Yep, we’re of to a start! Talk to you soon then! :)
