sorry for repeating myself but the thing i love the most about lost in translation is the light. it’s so depressingly dull and beautiful at the same time.

I know what you mean! It’s that flat, oppressive light in winter that kind of struggles in through the windows.
This is quite interesting… I mean, I have never thought of that movie that way. But when ppl do start analyzing films, I think it gets stuck in the back of their head and every time they watch a movie they think about these small things.. thinking.. re-thinking.. I love being blown away in a movie and not realizing what the cause was ;)
